Nonapeptide-1 has a α-MSH antagonist effect by binding to the α-MSH receptor on the Melanocyte. This blocks the α- MSH from being able to connect with its receptor known as MC1-R. As Tyrosinase is stimulated by the bonding of the α-MSH with MC1-R further activation of the enzyme Tyrosinase is prevented.
Rumex Occidentalis Extract
